You Need To see Victoria Beckham Touching Photos From Her Trip To Ethiopia On UN World AIDS Day

Victoria Beckham may be one of fashion’s biggest names, but she’s also a mom with a big heart. The star shared snaps from a field mission in Ethiopia, where the designer has been meeting people who are living with HIV and AIDS.

The fashion designer shared the heart-warming snaps to support World AIDS Day. During her trip to Africa, the 41-year-old visited clinics, NGOs and social businesses. The mom of four saw first-hand that access to medical treatment can save lives.

In one image, Beckham holds an adorable child on her lap. In another, the former Spice Girl can be seen receiving a red rose from a small boy.

Beckham visited Ethiopia with the Executive Director of UNAIDS, Michel Sidibé and met with children, teens and adults who are afflicted with HIV and AIDS. The patients spoke to them about the realities of living with the disease and virus.

In order to support World AIDS Day, Beckham is selling a limited-edition key ring, priced at $249, and a T-shirt, which costs $136. All proceeds will go to organizations supported by UNAIDS.

Speaking about her charitable aims, the former Spice Girl said: “The world has committed to end the AIDS epidemic as part of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and I truly believe this is a real possibility.”

Beckham also said, “There are still people being left behind due to gender inequalities, stigma and discrimination and lack of resources.” She added, “In my role as a UNAIDS Goodwill Ambassador I am proud to take a stand, speaking up for change and pushing on towards our common goal of ending AIDS.”

Last month, Beckham was honored for her humanitarian work with UNAIDS at the Glamour Women Of The Year Awards.
