Yaya Toure doesn’t need to score for Manchester City

You’d think it fair to class a man who scored 20 league goals
in one season as a goalscorer wouldn’t you? Well, according to Yaya
Toure the criticism he’s received for a lack of goals this season is
completely unjust.

Having fired Manchester City to the Premier League title last season,
Toure has endured somewhat slow start this campaign by his usual high
standards, scoring just two goals in ten appearances.

The second of those came on Saturday, with Toure netting the opening
goal to help City on their way to a nervy win against a determined Aston
Villa side.
With their team having struggled to break down Villa’s defence, City
fans would have been relieved to see their talisman produce when it
matters, despite his questionable early season form.
