Usain Bolt falls, loses his final career race
Usain Bolt fell to the track in his final race with an apparent leg injury in the world championships 4x100m relay Saturday. Bolt was anchoring the Jamaican team.
He received the baton behind the U.S. and Great Britain but could not make up the deficit before losing his balance and ending up lying on the track with his hands covering his face.
Great Britain won in 37.47 seconds, followed by the U.S. just five hundredths back. Japan took bronze to round out the podium. Jamaica had crossed the finish line first in every Olympic and world men’s 4x100m from 2008 through 2016.
