Chelsea Fc has signed 38-year-old goalkeeper Rob Green from Huddersfield Town. The goalkeeper is expected to come in as their third choice behind Courious and Willy Caballero.
It was reported that the ex-huddersfield man was brought into the club to fill in their home grown quota. Rob Green told the clubs website
“It has ben a whirlwind in 24 hours.
“You are thinking about your career and where you want to go and then you get a phone call like this, and it is a short conversation.
“It has been a pretty dramatic time for me and I can’t wait to get started. I am absolutely delighted and it is a thrill and an honour to be here.”
He last kept in goal for Leeds United in a 5-1 victory in August 2017. He had peviously featured for Norwich, West Ham, Queens Park Rangers. Rob Green follows in the footsteps of Jorginho from Napoli.
