Strange Arabic Inscriptions On Moringa Trees Shock Auchi Residents
Auchi, the administrative headquarters of Etsako west local government area became a tourist attraction following the discovery of a strange arabic inscription which appeared on a moringa tree weekend.
The tree located along Akilaye street saw residents rushing to the site in large numbers while muslims knelt down in prayers to Allah.
The landlord of the house, Mr Momoh Abdulahi, who planted the tree said he was overwhelmed with the crowd since the issue was made public on Friday.
According to Abdulahi, the inscription was first discovered by him on August 11, but he decided to keep mute about it after inviting a mallam to take a look at it.
“I discovered this around 3pm of August 11, 2015, and invited a mallam to see it. But we took a decision to be quiet about it until some mallams who came around for a function in the street blew it open.
“I actually bought the moringa seedlings from IITA in Ibadan about two years ago and planted it myself.
“I believe it is a sign of good omen in the community, Auchi and Edo State as a whole because strange things have been happening around here,” he stated.
Abdulahi said similar incident occurred about two houses away from his when a fowl laid two eggs that were inscribed with the same arabic inscription on the trees.
