Spacey comes out as gay, says sorry for sexual advances made to Rapp when he was 14
Actor Kevin Spacey has apologised for “drunken behaviour” after Star Trek actor Anthony Rapp claimed he made a sexual advance towards him when he was 14-years-old.
Rapp has accused the Oscar winner picking him up and lying on top of him at a party in 1986. In a statement posted to Twitter the US actor said he had no recollection of the incident adding that if it did happen as described he owed Rapp “the sincerest apology for what would have been deeply inappropriate drunken behaviour”.
In an interview with Buzzfeed Rapp accused the actor of picking him up, taking him to a bed and lying on top of him after other guests had left a party, hosted by Spacey.
Rapp, who claims Spacey appeared drunk, said he pushed him away and left the party. Spacey, said he was “beyond horrified” to hear “Anthony Rapp’s story”.
