SHOCK AS MANCINI DECIDES TO QUIT INTER MILAN
I must say this is a real shocker, as Inter boss Roberto Mancini makes his intention of leaving know to the top ranks.
Mancini returned for a second spell as Inter coach in November 2014, but he has been unable to replicate the success of his first stint when he won three Serie A titles.
His current contract is due to expire in the summer of 2017, but according to reports from Sky Sport Italia, he has a strained relationship with Inter’s owners – and lawyers are now in talks over an agreement to mutually terminate his deal.
There have reportedly been disagreements regarding Inter’s summer transfer activity, while Mancini saw his side thrashed 6-1 by Tottenham in a pre-season friendly in Oslo on Friday.
The leading candidate to replace Mancini at Inter is reportedly former Ajax boss Frank de Boer, with the new Serie A season just two weeks away.
