See The Arsenal Player Who Have Been Arrested Based On Sexual Assault
A former Arsenal player has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault. Tyrell Robinson, who now plays for Bradford City, was suspended by his club over the allegations yesterday.
And it has now emerged that he was held at Macclesfield Town’s Moss Rose ground on Tuesday by Cheshire Police. He is alleged to have been involved in a serious sexual assault in Bradford the previous day, according to Mail Online.
A club statement yesterday read: “Tyrell Robinson has been suspended with immediate effect.“Bradford City Football Club will be making no further comment at this time.”
Robinson, who can play left-back or left-wing, was earmarked for big things this season under rookie manager Michael Collins, but his future at the club now appears to be in severe jeopardy.
Speaking ahead of City’s away clash at Southend on Saturday, Collins refused to elaborate on details that led to Robinson’s suspension.
The 32-year-old told BBC Radio Leeds: “I can only say what the club have already said. They released a statement saying he had been suspended and at this moment they will be making no further comment, and that’s the stance that I will be taking.
“So for me it’s just about discussing the Southend game going into the weekend. “It gives the opportunity for someone else to come into the fray. That’s the stance we have taken, so we go on as normal.
“Whatever is happening is happening, but it makes no difference to how we prepare, we are a professional outfit with professional players and we continue as before.
