Revealed: How Senate increases supplementary budget to accommodate more subsidy claims

The Nigerian Senate Committee on Appropriation on Monday requested the Federal Ministries of Petroleum Resources, Budget and National Planning and Finance to accommodate their records and incorporate an extra N108 billion in the N465.3 billion supplementary spending plan submitted to the National Assembly by President Muhammadu Buhari, penultimate week.

‎President Buhari had as of late looked for endorsement of the National Assembly for the supplementary spending plan of N465.3 billion.

If that will ease the scarcity then they should go ahead. If you ask the subsidy should give way.

They should allow market forces to determine the price just as it is with diesel AGO. They are only a few with this subsidy regime.
