Read What Gbenga Daniel Said He Want To Be At 60
A former governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, says he has no presidential ambition saying that he would love to be an elder statesman at 60.
Daniel in a chat with journalists ahead of his forthcoming 60th birthday at his country home in Sagamu, Ogun State said that he would rather be a king maker and mentor to younger politicians.
Daniel said that it would be a waste of time for any politician planning or eyeing the presidency insisting that many of those who have been there before never planned for it.
”The presidency is not what a politician starts dreaming of. Many of those who have been lucky to be there were handpicked by powerful interest right from the time of Alhaji Tafawa Balewa till now.”
