Plan to Attend ‘Next Leaders Africa Virtual Summit 2020’

Join the kick-start of OMLA – One Million Leaders Africa

The founders and organizers of Next Leaders’ Summit Africa 2020 are honored to invite emerging leaders and professionals (below the age of 40) to her 2020 summit, this time to be held on ZOOM, August 28th and 29th, starting 11:00 am WAT. A ZOOM link will be sent.

The theme of the summit is “Transforming Africa in a Decade”. This summit will explore ways African youth can collaborate to take sustainable action towards transforming the continent. Also, One Million Leaders Africa Program (OMLA) will be launched during the summit.

This summit will be spiced with dynamic presentations from inspiring speakers from Africa and around the world, breakout sessions, voices of young African leaders, launching of One Million Leaders Africa to mention but a few.

It is interesting to note that over 400 young leaders below the age of 40 from around 40 African countries have registered to participate at the summit. This is the first time NELIS AFRICA will be playing host to a truly Pan-African Summit with hundreds of Next Generation leaders passionate about Sustainability (action-oriented literacy on key social and environmental challenges), Social Innovation, and Social Entrepreneurship.

OMLA is a train-the-trainer program which will commence in 2021. Our primary mission is to combine offsite and online training content to reach, train and empower more than one million young African leaders by 2030.

The focus of OMLA will be to equip a whole new generation of African leaders with skills in transformational leadership, sustainability, social innovation and social entrepreneurship to put Africa on a more livable and sustainable course for the future.

OMLA will create a network of reputable leaders of the future, who base their actions on uncompromising integrity, complete transparency and radical honesty to help put Africa on a path to a livable and humane future.

The population of Africa is projected to increase to around 2.5 billion in 2050, and possibly 4.5 billion in 2100 (compared to 1.27 billion in 2019/UN 2017 projections). All key sustainability challenges, social as well as environmental, will be on full display in Africa in the decades to come, and the most vulnerable people are likely to suffer the brunt of negative future impacts (food, water, and resource constraints, conflicts, climate change impacts, migrant flows, etc.).

At the same time, Africa has the youngest population of any continent on Earth, with an amazing amount of entrepreneurial energy and hope for the future. Business opportunities abound across the continent, but they will have to be explored in sustainable way and, hopefully, in collaboration with and lead by a new generation of sustainably and socially literate leaders. The years between now and 2030 are critical for building an Africa that will not only survive but excel.

This summit aims at bringing together bright, innovative, and creative young African minds, emerging sustainable leaders and professionals by connecting, inspiring and empowering them with conversations that urgently matter in African continent.

Your attendance in the summit makes you qualify to receive a certificate (electronic) of participation.

Your full participation in the 2-day summit makes you eligible as one of the 100 young leaders that will be invited to OMLA Empowerment Bootcamp in Mauritius in 2021.  Participants will also be privileged to receive 2 e-books on transformational Leadership.

For all enquiries on registrations and full or partial participation, please contact this email: onemillionleadersafrica@gmail.com or visit our website www.onemillionleadersafrica.org or you can register through this link:  (https://forms.gle/fmjZow5zDVoZW8zy5).
