Niger Assembly Gives Governor Aliyu Approval To Sack Commission

The Niger State House of Assembly has approved the request by
the Governor  Muazu Babangida Aliyu to remove from office, the chairman
and members of the state Local Government Service Commission.
The request for the removal of the commission members was contained in  a
letter sent  by the Governor to the house  and read by the Speaker
Barrister Adamu Usman at the plenary yesterday.
It was stated in the letter that, the board of the commission was
inaugurated on the eighth of March 2011 with five year’s tenure.
According to the Governor’s letter , the chairman of the commission is
Barrister Halidu Ibrahim from Kontagora Local Government Area while
Justin Magaji from Munya Local Government Area, Alhaji Mahmud Ndatsu
from Lapai Local Government Area, Ahmed Abubakar from Chanchaga Local
Government Area and Mohammed .F. Kolo from Wushishi Local Government
Area were permanent commissioners one, two, three and four respectively.
