Identical Twins Planned An All-twins’ Wedding Ceremony | See Photos
• With twin Priests, identical bridesmaids and pageboys
Whether you would call it fate or just great planning, an interesting event played out in far away India where identical twins, Dinker and Dilraj Varikkasery married another set of identical twins Reena and Reema. This wouldn’t raise much of an eyebrow nowadays, although it would still be considered as ‘cute’. What is interesting and quite unusual, however, is that the ceremony was also officiated by identical twin priests, Rezi and Roy Manaparambil.
To complete the twin couples’ happy day, they had identical twin bridesmaids as well as pageboys in their wedding train.
The 32-year-old men, who had been inseparable all through school, university and even went on to work in the same company, decided as teenagers that they could only marry identical twins. They set about finding identical twins and it took them five years to find their wives, who are both nurses. Incidentally, the wives were also hunting for twin grooms.
“When we met Reena and Reema, we knew it was them we were looking for all this while. Fortunately, they also had the similar feeling after meeting us,” Dilraj said. “We had to keep searching for the suitable boys for three years in a row. When we saw Dilraj and Dinker, we nodded yes to each other. It was a wonderful experience.” Reena said.
There were a total of seven sets of twins at the wedding ceremony.
