According to TVC News Olatubosun Olawale these women have gathered for the same purpose and they are calling for more rights for rape victims.

This demonstration was sparked by a video shared on social media which appeared to show a rape filmed by the attacker.

They waved placards with slogans such as “no to violence against women’ and ‘justice for the victims’ at the peaceful march in Conakry organised by a pressure group called “hands off my sister”.

Guinean justice minister, Cheick Sako says two men have been arrested and charged with complicity in rape while the alleged attacker has fled to neighbouring Ivory Coast.

Guineans are calling for more concrete action to perpetrators of such acts.
