Henrikh Mkhitaryan reportedly told Borussia Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel about his transfer to Manchester United by text.
The Armenia international enjoyed a superb season with the Bundesliga giants last season, but has now soured his relationship with his manager and the club as a whole.
Mkhitaryan had supposedly been close to agreeing a new contract with Dortmund back in May before backtracking on the deal, according to Bild.
The report also claims that the 27-year-old terminated the lease on his house in March, suggesting he’d be planning his departure all along.
To rub salt into the wound, Mkhitaryan then simply texted boss Tuchel with the words ‘I go to Manchester United’.
United fans may have some cause for concern if rumours of this unprofessional behaviour prove to be true, though for now fans will likely just be pleased to see a top class attacker linking up with new manager Jose Mourinho.
