Federal Government of Nigeria Declares October 3 Public Holiday

The Federal government of Nigeria has announced October 3, as public holiday to mark Nigeria’s 56th Independence Anniversary.

This is contained in an announcement issued by the Acting Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Alhaji Muhammadu Maccido, yesterday in Abuja.

He said the Minister of Interior, resigned Lt-Gen Abdulrahman Dambazau, guaranteed Nigerians at home and abroad that Government was working perseveringly to pad the impacts of the current monetary difficulties.

“The pastor urges all Nigerians to keep on supporting President Muhammadu Buhari in his assurance to assemble a solid, virile and joined nation in accordance with the fantasy of the nation’s establishing fathers,” he said.
