Donald Trump won big on Tuesday, April 19. The GOP frontrunner won the New York primary, beating Republican opponents John Kasich and Ted Cruz.

According to CNN, at 9:15 p.m. ET, Trump was in the lead at 68.9 percent while Kasich was at 18.5 percent and Cruz was at 12.6 percent.

“Thank you New York! I love you! #MakeAmericaGreatAgain #Trump2016,” the businessman, 69, tweeted after the polls closed on Tuesday night.

Trump’s victory comes after he made a major snafu on Monday, April 18.

The controversial candidate accidentally referred to 9/11 as ‘7-Eleven’ during a rally in Buffalo, New York.

“I wrote this out, and it’s very close to my heart,” he told the crowd. “Because I was down there and I watched our police and our firemen down at 7/11, down at the World Trade Center right after it came down. And I saw the greatest people I’ve ever seen in action.”

On the Democratic side, CNN projected Hillary Clinton as the winner over Bernie Sanders, with a 4 percent lead.

Clinton tweeted after the news: “To our volunteers, organizers, and supporters who worked your hearts out in New York: This is your win. Thank you.”
