Cristiano Ronaldo move to Manchester United in place

Cristiano Ronaldo move to Manchester United in place

Cristiano Ronaldo is ready to make a sensational return to
Manchester United with Sky Sports journalist Guillem Balague claiming
the move is ‘in place’.

The Real Madrid superstar was thoroughly disappointed to see Angel Di Maria
and Xabi Alonso sold in the final days of the transfer window. Having also seen
Mesut Ozil leave the season before, Ronaldo confronted Florentino Perez about
the sale of top players.

He is now widely believed to be unhappy with life at the Bernabeu and is
reportedly using his agent Jorge Mendes to negotiate his departure from the
Madrid capital. According to Balague, there is only one destination.

Old Trafford return

The Spanish football expert has reiterated that Ronaldo has been left
disillusioned by Real Madrid’s transfer policy and that he has a return to Old
Trafford in his sights. Balague goes as far to say that a return is already in

Balague told Sky Sports’ Revista La Liga: “He is unhappy
and he’s said so – but then he corrected himself by saying ‘I didn’t mean what
he said’. It was a bit confusing.

“Anyway, you have to say he’s not happy that Ozil left and he didn’t like
the fact that Xabi Alonso and Di Maria left.

“He has this idea, I think, that at Real Madrid he is doing a job and he is
working, but he enjoyed himself almost like a kid at Manchester United.

The dream transfer

“He dreams of going back to Manchester United and Manchester United have got
all the finances in place to get him.

“When will that be? It depends, of course, on a lot of things. It depends on
Real Madrid and on Cristiano himself.

“I have a pretty good idea of when he wants to go. It won’t be this month or
next month, but he wants to go back to Manchester United and everything is in
place for him to return to Old Trafford.”

Other interest

The news will come as a relief to Manchester United fans after seeing their
former star, who left Old Trafford for £80 million in 2009, linked with the
likes of Chelsea and Manchester City.

Ronaldo earns a reported £290,000-a-week at Real Madrid,
but some reports claimed he was touting himself around the Premier League for £500,000-a-week. Only Jose Mourinho,
Manuel Pellegrini and Louis van Gaal have the budgets to meet those demands,
leaving them in a three horse race.

However, Ronaldo himself has already stated that he would like to return to
Manchester United in some capacity in the near future, leaving Old Trafford as by
far the most likely destination.

Any return is likely to break the British transfer record, currently held by
Di Maria’s move to Manchester United for around £59.7 million. Real Madrid
would reportedly demand £60 million for the 29-year-old – Ronaldo will be
30-years-old in February.
