We are going to play and win our match (Full Details)

The Young Swallows landed in the Cross Rivers state capital on Thursday afternoon ahead of their showdown with the reigning African U20 champions

Burundi U20 national team arrived in Calabar ahead of Saturday’s 2017 U20 Africa Cup of Nations second round second leg game against Nigeria on Monday afternoon.

The visitors bowed 1-0 in the first leg played in Bujumbura and they would be in dire need of a win at the U.J Esuene Sports Stadium to deny the Flying Eagles a place in the next round of qualifiers.

The east Africans on arrival were accommodated at Tinapa Resort where the Flying Eagles are lodged.

Meanwhile, captain Kelechi Nwakali hopes his side emerges victorious to mark his birthday alongside teammate John Lazarus.

“We are going to play and win our match on Saturday and I’m confident we would celebrate like we did the last time with Samuel Chukwueze when we beat Burundi away,” he told Caf website.
