Bimbo Akintola who has starred in so many movies over the years have revealed why it is so easy for her to burst into tears in her movies. The 46 year old actress who was born in Oyo State from a mother who has her own birth place in Edo State says She is a very emotional person and can burst into tears when frustrated.
“I cry out of frustration. When I am upset, I cry. I am one of those people that cry easily because I am a very passionate and emotional person. If I am frustrated, I can cry. If I am angry and you ask me to explain myself, I would cry, I am that kind of person; so I cry regularly,” she said.
She also reveals that she is not planning to quit acting even though she is not getting as many roles compared to when she was a lot younger. “I have several mummies in the industry and I am like them. I have Taiwo Ajai-Lycett who I know would act till the day she dies; I know Joke Silva would act till the day she dies and I will act till the day I die. I can never get tired or walk out of this profession. Acting is my reason for being; it is one of the main reasons for my being,”
Her recent movie for 2016 is 93 Days. A movie dedicated to Ameyo Adadevoh, a Nigerian physician who played a key role in the eradication of Ebola in Nigeria. The movie was directed by Steve Gukas and was shot in several parts of Nigeria.
