ASUU threatens to go on strike again if the Government fails to meet up with their demand. The Academic staff union of universities (ASUU) of LAUTECH in Ogbomosho laid this complain yesterday.
An agreed statement by its Chairman, Biodun Olaniran, and Secretary, Toyin Abegunrin, showed their anxiety that the two governments refused to fund the university, even after it audited its personnel and accounts.
LAUTECH who just came back from its 8 month-old strike after the two states agreed to pay outstanding debt to the university.
ASUU said the institution was not properly funded, while its workers were owed 10 months salary and promotion arrears, among other problems.
The union noted that besides non-payment of salary and other entitlements, there has been no infrastructural development on the campus campus since the inception of the administration in Oyo and Osun states.
