Arnold Schwarzenegger Undergoes Emergency Heart Surgery
Arnold Schwarzenegger underwent emergency open-heart surgery yesterday at Cedars-Sinai hospital in LA, TMZ reports.
The procedure was somewhat “experimental” and the star developed some complications, but he is now in stable condition and recovering.
The former bodybuilder needed a catheter valve replacement, but doctors quickly realized it was going to fail and moved forward with a more invasive operation.
The Austrian powerhouse had an aortic valve replaced in 1997, and maintained that his health issues were congenital, and not the result of steroid usage.
