The former ‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ star and her millionaire beau David Cantin are ‘shaken up from the traumatic and violent home invasion and robbery,’ their attorney says.
Dina Manzo and her boyfriend David Cantin became the victims of a violent home invasion. The former “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” star and the millionaire businessman were brutally beaten by two robbers at their Holmdel, New Jersey, townhouse on Saturday, May 13.
Their attorney Andrew B. Brettler confirms in a statement, “Dina and David are obviously shaken up from the traumatic and violent home invasion and robbery.” Brettler adds, “No one should ever have to go through what they did. They are grateful to law enforcement and the other emergency responders and appreciate everyone’s concern and well-wishes.”
The couple, who also has a home in California, reportedly flew into N.J. for the weekend to celebrate Teresa Giudice’s daughter Audriana’s first communion. Dina is Audriana’s Godmother.
According to the Holmdel police report, when the pair returned home just before 11 P.M. on Saturday, they found two masked individuals inside. The assailants rushed at them as they opened the door. One of the assailants hit David several times with a baseball bat, while Dina was punched multiple times by the other assailant.
The robbers tied them up together before making off with personal belongings such as cash and jewelry. After the robbers left, David was able to free himself and call the police, who arrived shortly thereafter. Holmdel police and the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office have launched a joint investigation.
Dina and David were taken to a local hospital. David suffered “significant” injuries to his face, including a broken nose, while Dina was treated for facial injuries. They have been released from the hospital.
