JAMB has withdraw the list of recommended students for admission into Tertiary institutions in Nigeria. Dr Fabian Benjamin who is the Head of Media for JAMB explained that the list was withdrawn from the university to enable the Senate of each Universities perform their statutory responsibility of conducting the selection of candidates and refer it to JAMB.

The admission lists were withdrawn to enable the institutions confirm the admission in line with the criteria of merit, catchment area and educationally disadvantaged states, as directed by the Minister of Education at the policy committee meeting.

He said JAMB regrets any inconvenience the withdrawal decision would have caused the tertiary institutions.
